Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data, with your consent or as necessary for service provision:

  • Identity & Contact Data

    Name, gender, date/time of birth, place of birth, current location, email address, phone number, postal address. These are provided when you register or request astrology services.

  • Account Data

    Your login credentials, profile information, preferences.

  • Sensitive Personal Data

    Birth-related information is collected solely for generating astrological calculations, Kundli reports, compatibility analysis, and personalized insights. Under DPDP, these require explicit consent. We collect them only for horoscope creation and compatibility analysis.

  • Payment Data

    Payment card or UPI information for purchases. We use secure payment gateways; we do not store your full payment details on our servers, except partial identifiers as needed for refunds (in encrypted form).

  • Technical & Device Data

    IP address, browser type, device ID, operating system, language, and usage data (pages visited, features used). This comes from logs and cookies.

  • Cookies & Tracking

    We use cookies and similar technologies for website/app functionality and analytics. These include essential cookies for login, and optional cookies for preferences, performance (Google Analytics), and marketing (retargeting ads).

  • Third-Party Sources

    If you connect via social login (Facebook/Twitter) or make purchases via third-party apps, we may receive profile info (name, email). We will ask your consent before linking accounts.

Payment data is handled by Razorpay, emails/SMS by Twilio, Cloud Host by AWS, Analytics by GA4 (Google Analytics 4), and CRM by FreshChat.

  • Legal / Regulatory

    We will disclose personal data if required by law (subpoena, court order, law enforcement). We may also share aggregated anonymous data (no personal identifiers) for business analysis.

  • No Sale of Data

    We do not sell or rent your personal information to marketers.

    Retained for the duration of your account, plus ~2 years after account closure (for potential disputes).

  • Payment Records

    Typically retained 7–8 years (per tax laws).

  • Support Correspondence

    Retained ~2 years.

  • Marketing Data

    Until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.

If consent is withdrawn or data is no longer needed (and no legal hold applies), we will securely delete or anonymize it.

    You can request a copy of your personal data or correct errors. Contact us via email or privacy request form. We will respond within 30 days.

  • Deletion (Right to be Forgotten)

    You can ask us to delete or erase your personal data. We will comply unless retention is required by law.

  • Withdraw Consent

    At any time, you can withdraw consent for processing that was based solely on consent (e.g. marketing emails). Withdrawal is as easy as giving consent, e.g. by toggling settings or emailing us.

  • Objection

    You can object to processing for our legitimate interests; we will stop unless we have overriding lawful basis.

  • Portability

    You can request to receive your data in a structured format.

  • Grievance

    If you have any questions, concerns, or complaints regarding this Privacy Policy or the processing of your personal data, you may contact our Grievance Officer (Naveen Goswami) at grievance@omniwain.com. We will make reasonable efforts to review and resolve your grievance within 30 days from the date of receipt. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to raise a complaint with the appropriate authority under applicable Indian laws, including the Data Protection Board of India, where applicable.

  • California Residents (CCPA)

Subscription Services & Billing Information

Astrowain offers optional subscription plans that provide access to premium features and content. Subscription plans may include Free, Pro, Premium, or any other plans introduced in the future.

Premium Features

Premium features may include, but are not limited to:

  • Unlimited or increased access to Sarthi AI Astro Guide
  • Advanced astrology insights and reports
  • Personalized recommendations
  • Premium reports
  • Decision Pulse insights
  • Muhurta recommendations
  • Time Window predictions
  • Priority access to upcoming features

Information We Collect for Subscription Management

To process and manage your subscription, we may collect and store:

  • Subscription plan selected
  • Subscription start and renewal dates
  • Payment transaction identifiers
  • Purchase platform (Google Play Store, Apple App Store, Website)
  • Subscription status (Active, Expired, Cancelled)
  • Billing country
  • Promotional offers redeemed

We do not store your complete credit/debit card information. Payments are securely processed by authorized third-party payment providers.

Subscription Usage Data

Auto-Renewal Data

Subscription records may be retained for:

Processing Timeline

Requests will be processed within 7–15 business days.

What Happens After Deletion

After deletion is processed:

  • Your account will be permanently deactivated
  • Personal data will be deleted or anonymized, except data required for legal compliance (e.g., tax records) and fraud prevention or dispute resolution

Important Notes

  • Some services may no longer be accessible after deletion
  • Backup copies may take additional time to be removed

Astrology, horoscope analysis, Kundli matching, predictions, remedies, and related services provided on this platform are intended for spiritual, personal, entertainment, and guidance purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or outcome of any astrological insight, prediction, or recommendation.

Not a Substitute for Professional Advice

Our services should not be considered a substitute for:

Users are solely responsible for decisions made based on the information provided through the platform.
